NFL Playoffs Wk 1 Falcons Rams
In the first round of what can only be described as a “redemption tour,” reigning NFL MVP Matt Ryan and his Falcons hope to return to form against the upstart Rams. And, though Ryan is not among the candidates per Bovada’s NFL MVP odds for 2017-2018, he could still prove his value to the Dirty Birds by leading Atlanta to the upset against the Rams.
Incidentally, the Rams have their own potential MVP in Todd Gurley, who – along with QB Jared Goff – have one of the league’s top-rated one-two punches on offense. As such, the Rams – and not the defending NFC champion Falcons – are the favorites for Saturday night’s marquee wildcard game (8:15, NBC).
